Beard Night at Fenway Park was a smash. And some of us really lucked out: the tail end of the line got in for free (a savings of $1 per ticket!). Yes, the plan was that everyone wearing a beard – real, fur, marker, cardboard, Santa, etc. – would receive a ticket for a dollar. The end of the line, however (and allow me to be honest here: it was an extremely long end of the line), received free tickets to the standing room only sections.  

The Sox may not have won the game on Beard Night, but just yesterday they earned their spot in the postseason. The feat is impressive to say the least, but more importantly, it is really nice to have a baseball team as fun and energetic as the Sox to rally around here in Beantown.

I can’t wait for October. Here’s to keeping the beards the whole way through!
